Where to stay

The night before

Some of you will be coming further afield than others so you may want to come up the day before. There are plenty of reasonable options such as Premier Inn in nearby Peterborough.

We will have the use of a little cottage on-site the night before, complete with hot tub!!! (not sure how much use we will make of this in December, but it sounds romantic!).

Wedding Night

We have exclusive use of Holmewood Hall for the night of the wedding and would love for our guests to join us by staying in the hall. There are a number of rooms available on a first come first served basis (there ought to be enough for all the guests who want to stay) which means you can stay for the party and all you have to do is stumble upstairs to your room (or across the courtyard for the two accessible rooms).

The venue has a number of double and twin rooms available on the night of the wedding. This includes accommodation on 18th December and breakfast the following morning.

The rooms are all lovely, each with its little quirks. Some have baths, others showers. There are two accessible rooms available, one of which we’ve already pencilled in for a couple we think will need them. Other rooms are upstairs in the main hall. There are a mix of rooms with double and twin beds.

For those with children, there are a couple of interconnecting rooms. Older children may want separate rooms (the hall is exclusive to us for that night). Or bedding can be provided if you bring blow-up beds.

We have pre-booked a number of rooms but there are some more available on request. There should be enough to accommodate the whole party but please do let us know as soon as possible so we can allocate the most appropriate rooms to each guest.

Rooms are £200 per room, payable to us as we will then arrange with the Hall.

If you’re thinking of making a long weekend of it and possibly staying in the area a bit longer, Cambridge isn’t too far away and is perfect for a short getaway.
